Ready, Set… Come!

Board & Train Program

Does your dog pretend they suddenly went deaf the moment you call their name?
Or maybe they run toward everything except you… squirrels, smells, leaves, ghosts, who knows. 😂

If you dream of off-leash freedom, safe adventures, and a dog who actually comes back when you call — this is the program for you.

What is “Ready, Set… Come!”?

A recall-focused Board & Train designed to transform your distracted dog into a come-when-called superstar.

Through structured practice, games, positive reinforcement, and real-world distraction training, your dog learns that YOU are always the best choice — no matter what’s happening around them.

What to expect

During your dog’s Board & Train stay, we focus on:

  • Building a recall your dog is excited to respond to

  • Strengthening trust and engagement with their handler

  • Improving focus around real-life distractions

  • Developing impulse control and emotional regulation

  • Boosting confidence in new places and situations

  • Encouraging check-ins and connection during walks and play

  • Creating safe, reliable habits for off-leash adventures

  • Name Response: Turning toward you right away when they hear their name — the foundation of every solid recall.

  • Check-In / Watch Me: Building focus and trust by choosing to re-engage with their person, even around distractions.

  • Touch (Hand Target): A fun, confidence-boosting way to bring your dog back to you quickly and happily.

  • Recall Cue: Running back to you with enthusiasm — not hesitation — no matter what’s happening around them.

  • Find It: Using sniffing games to calm the brain, reduce stress, and reset focus before practicing recall again.

  • Let’s Go: Moving together through busy environments, helping your dog stay connected and ready to respond.

  • Auto Check-Ins: Learning to look back at you naturally during walks, play, and exploration — a vital life skill for off-leash freedom.

  • Leave It: Building impulse control so your dog can choose you over distractions (squirrels, smells, picnics, you name it).
