About Caroline
My purpose is to build stronger bonds between humans and dogs
My life with dogs took a turning point in 2020. I stepped into a role as a dog trainer on Bowen Island, and honestly, it was the job that changed everything for me. Under the mentorship of #CareyTrainsMe, I didn't just learn how to "train" dogs—I learned how to listen to them. I discovered that the most beautiful part of this work is bridging the communication gap between humans and their best friends. That’s where I found my heart.
Since then, I’ve had the joy of guiding countless puppies as they learn to navigate this big, busy world. There is something so special about helping an adolescent dog find their "inner peace" during those messy teenage months when everything feels a bit overwhelming.
Why I Love Group Classes
While I enjoy working one-on-one, my soul is in our group classes. I love them because they are a shared experience. We don't just "drill" commands; we create a space where we set every dog up for success.
-
For the Puppies: It’s about building a brave heart. We focus on neutral exposure and quiet confidence, teaching your pup that they can be calm and focused even when the world is exciting.
-
For the Teens: We focus on finding a state of emotional balance. It’s a chance for your adolescent dog to learn impulse control and realize that listening to you is the best part of their day.
I’m proud to work as a positive reinforcement trainer, helping dogs and their humans build calmer, more connected relationships. My approach is all about understanding behaviour, using science-based methods, and keeping training fun and achievable for everyone.
